Picking berries has got to be one of our favourite things to do with kids in Skåne and beyond: you’re outside (no screens here), you’re eating fruit, and it’s tasty too! Plus all that toiling in the fields almost (almost) guarantees a good night’s sleep.

Here’s where you can pick strawberries (and more) in Skåne (scroll down for a map for easy reference).

Please note that some self-pick farms have recently closed and others may have limited availability – please check their websites and social media for updates before making a special journey!

1. Farfars Härodlat, Fleninge

Fruit and vegetables for self-picking. Note that as of 3rd July, 2025, strawberries are over for the season, but raspberries are on their way. Keep an eye on their website and social media for updates.

2. Sånnagården, Kvidinge

Sånnagården’s website says that they sell a variety of self-pick fruit and vegetables, as well as a cozy coffee shop selling sandwiches and homemade cake. Keep an eye on their social media for updates.

3. Kvistalånga Lantbruk, Hässleholm

Kvistalånga Lantbruk sells strawberries and potatoes. Strawberries are self-pick only, and they recommend you bring your own containers or you can buy them there. Swish is preferred but they also take cards (for potatoes, pay with Swish or cash).

4. Thuressons Ekologiska jordgubbar, Önnestad

As of 3rd July, 2025, Thuressons Ekologiska jordgubbar is now closed for the season. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to see when they open in 2026!

5. Skogslidens Gårdsbutik, Tollarp

Based in Tollarp, in eastern Skåne outside Kristianstad, we love Skogslidens Gårdsbutik for its incredible pumpkin harvest and other Halloween activities in autumn, but it also offers strawberry and other berry self-picking in summer.

There’s also a café offering drinks alongside ice creams and waffles, and a small selection of gifts. (On our last visit, they also sold homegrown and very reasonably priced broad beans, which seem to be hard to find here in Sweden!)

6. Eriksgården, Sjöbö

Eriksgården, in the middle of Skåne, is most famous for its all-you-can-eat berry buffet, which includes strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries plus ice cream, a variety of meringues and more, but if you want to burn off some energy before you eat, you can also pick your own.

There is also a playground and a large gift shop with a variety of gifts, toys, and a chilled section with fresh meat.

7. Hallongården, Trelleborg

As you can probably guess from the name, the focus here is more on raspberries, although they also sell vegetables and other berries. While you’re there, you can also visit the animals, including sheep, goats and rabbits, and the shop, and enjoy homemade cakes and more in the café.

8. Borgeby Jordgubbar, Bjärred

Simple strawberry picking near both Malmö and Lund. Keep an eye on their social media for up to date details of availability.

9. Nylanders Rött & Grönt, Rydebäck

Nylanders Rött & Grönt, south of Helsingborg, sells strawberries, potatoes, eggs, and vegetables.

10. Bränneriets Gård, Eslöv

Pick flowers and berries just south of Eslöv, outside Lund: there’s also a farm shop and a café with outside seating where you can find cake, ice cream, sandwiches and more.

11. Västernäs Handelsträdgård, Höör

Right in the centre of Skåne, Västernäs Handelsträdgård in Höör is a garden centre which offers a huge variety of plants, resident pigs to visit, and a small self-picking area in summer. You can also grab sandwiches, waffles, milkshakes and more from the Sweets on the Streets café van.

12. Vidablick, Hörby

Vidablick, outside Hörby in central Skåne, offers a variety of fruit and vegetables for self-picking throughout the year – keep an eye on their social media to see what’s available and when. There’s also a café and gift shop, and a multi-sport course in case picking your own supper isn’t enough to tire you out.
